DEMA's Solidarity Grants
Rationale:
On the basis of their philosophy on social commitment, Dema and the Department of Training and Employment wish to contribute to the strengthening of developing countries at a local level, by providing support for Basque NGOD projects that foment entrepreneurship and promoting the organisation of micro-companies as a means of local development.
It is a way of conveying corporate social responsibility practice to which Dema is highly committed.
We also aim at transmitting the student’s training to third parties in the countries of destination, by providing support in particular for the most unfavoured groups: rural communities, women and small family business, etc. In short, the same philosophy that Dema practises in Bizkaia.
General Purposes:
- Put DEMA’s Corporate Social Responsibility policy into practice.
- Provide technical and expert support for Basque NGOD cooperation projects in developing countries.
- Complement the trainee’s professional training
with first-hand and practical experience in line with their
qualifications which will facilitate their subsequent entry into the
labour market.
- 2006 Solidarity Grants: from April 1th to 18th.
Current Actions:
